What a busy start to the year! I hope everyone was able to join us at one of our many events, but I also know I haven't seen all of you yet this year! We have a great list of events coming up, with many of the projects being requested by Jaycees just like you. If there are any events you would like to see happen, please reach out to any of our board members! I want to invite you to join us at our monthly meeting at Mimi's Cafe tonight. This will be a great time to come out, network with other members, and get a briefing on all of the upcoming events. I hope to see you all soon! Sincerely, Molly Moran 2018 Jacksonville Jaycees President 2018 Vice Presidents: Megan Murphy - Community Service Leila Bedoian - Membership Evan King- Individual Development Chris Deckard - Management Membership SpotlightChris Deckard Management Vice President & Chair of the Trail of Terror Where are you from?Indianapolis, Indiana originally Since 2004 I work at a very small software company doing software development out at the beaches called Horizonline Technology. Our company makes software that facilitates the upkeep and maintenance of data center equipment. What is your favorite thing about being involved with the Jaycees? I first got involved with the Jaycees in 2015 through the first year of the Trail of Terror. I was invited by a friend of the Jaycees and stayed with the Trail of Terror over other haunts in town because I found it more gratifying laboring for a good cause rather than making some other person profit. By far the Trail of Terror. Just this year alone what our committee in 2018 has done to get the ball moving on such a large project has been very rewarding. I have two perspectives to this. The portfolio that I like the most is individual development because that's where our more fun recreational activities are. But I love management too since that's where TOT falls! I think the coolest location to visit in our city is the Catty Shack. I really appreciate animals and that's only place around town that you get to see so many of the big cats in one area. What are your hobbies?Board/Tabletop Games, Video Games, Heavy Metal Music |
