Air potato is an invasive vine threatening Jacksonville's National Park the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. The vine is capable of blanketing an entire landscape, even trees that are over 60 feet tall — it covers everything it grows on, and the plants beneath it starve for sunlight. To stop the spread of this invasive vine we will the National Park Service collect the “potatoes” and dispose of them.

Water will be provided by the National Park Service, but please bring a refillable container for water. Required items are long pants and sleeves, closed-toed shoes, and gloves.

We will meet Ranger Cici at Timucuan Preserve Headquarters  at 9:00 am.
